Similar to vertical or horizontal Murphy beds, cabinet beds save space are are easy to set up. However, the shorter dresser design allows you to place the unit under a window, TV or artwork.

How Does a Cabinet Bed Work?
Although ultra compact, this hide-a-bed is really easy to set up. In fact, the entire process takes only about 1 minute. Essentially, you unfold the cabinet and then pull out the mattress.

Pros & Cons of Bed Set-Up:
This bed assembles quickly, due to the specially-designed cabinetry and the folding memory foam mattress. In addition, the dresser completely hides that fact that you’ve got a bed in the room. Plus, it doesn’t take up much space when not in use.
However, a fold-out mattress means that you have to add and remove bedding each time you set up the bed. You can’t make the bed and lift the bed frame back into the wall, like a Murphy bed. If you want a pull-out bed to use on a daily basis, you may prefer a wall bed instead.
Cabinet Comes with Handy Built-in Charging Station:
Because this wide cabinet takes up over 5 feet of wall space, it may block access to electrical wall outlets. However, the manufacturer has already solved this potential problem.
The dresser includes a charging port on its side, which includes both 3-prong outlets and USB ports. Therefore, you can plug in multiple devices without having to have a power cord extend across the room.
Simply plug the the cabinet into the wall outlet. (It has a 9-foot power cord.)
Dresser Provides Storage for Bedding:
Although you might expect this cleverly-designed dresser to only include a bed, it has more. The bottom drawer is actually just what it looks like – a drawer.

Cabinet Beds VS Daybeds:
Daybeds offer another convenient and affordable option for overnight sleepers. Some modern styles actually look like sophisticated sofas, yet provide hidden trundle beds on wheels.
However, I have yet to see a daybed with a queen-size mattress. They usually have a twin mattress, and a few feature a full-size bed.
